With this FP-100c instant neg, shot by the wonderful Gia Canali Photography at my brother's wedding, I cleaned the negative goop only in the center of the image. I like the look!
This Super 8mm vignette of Serra & Brandon's wedding showcases some of the highlights of their beautiful day. Masterfully captured & edited by Tim at Flicker Films (whose wedding was just featured below). Go to his website to see the full feature edit, and other samples that he has created. We did a longer -20 min.- cut of the footage to show at the post honeymoon reception party we had with all of our friends (since there was only 30 guests at the wedding). And now we would love to invite you to be a part of their nostalgic day... (Music by Over The Rhine, and Marc Scibilia)
Tim and Chelle's wedding was nothing short of amazing! Not only are they a beautiful and stylish couple that knows how to party but they also are great friends of ours. And to top it off... It snowed! And snow makes everything better. :) And seeing that their wedding was in Lake Arrowhead, California in late April, this was really nothing short of a miracle. It never really snows a considerable amount down here past March. And not only did it snow two days before the wedding, by the day of the wedding it was sunny and 72 degrees! Their wedding was a perfect mountain wedding. But it wasn't just fate that blessed them, they put in their fair share of blood, sweat and tears. Nearly everything was handmade by them or the girls in their wedding party. Yet through it all Chelle and Tim were always cool, considerate and totally excited about their wedding day. I wish every bride and groom could be the same. :) I loved their cake table so much! Especially the "LOVE" letters hanging above it. Their invitations were all cut out by hand! And they had close to 150 guests! The birds and birdcage design was really cool! Their colors were blues and yellows. Tim wore a navy blue suit and Chelle wore a lovely ivory colored dress with a soft lace design. Chelle's shoes were beautiful but as soon as the reception hit it was all boots on the dance floor! The bridesmaids bouquets were all handmade from vintage hand-me-down ties and buttons. Meet the "Groomsmaid"! I absolutely loved the guys' boutonnieres! Perfect for a mountain wedding! Also handmade! All the girls had flowers in their hair... Courtesy of Sarah their Bridesmaid/florist for the day. Tim and Chelle did a Fuji Instax guestbook and it was stinking rad! I love fuji! They also used a ton of their engagement photos at the guestbook and gift table along with some vintage family photographs mounted in an old window. So cool! Their favors were little tin candles with their guests' names on them and their table numbers on the top. Loved the old ladders. Used more engagement photos on these as well! For the communion part of their ceremony they distributed bread and whole grapes for anyone who wanted to participate. More engagement photos used on the wine bottles that also doubled as table numbers. Tom Waits? Birdseed! There are so many great photos of this wedding I couldn't fit them all into one post. So more will be coming shortly. You can view the entire event at client.bwrightphoto.com
