7 ELEVEN
Dan and Lauren were the early bird couple that was fortunate enough to book us for Sat. July 11th this year. And we were fortunate enough to have these two Love birds as clients on one of the most beautiful days of the year in San Diego. They fell in love while attending graduate school together, and decided to have their wedding on the beautiful USD campus in the Founders Chapel. Lauren's old dorm room was located just above this beautiful venue. There were lots of romantic memories around each corner to spur their emotions through the day; as is evident in these photos. This couple really had a knack for picking locations that were both meaningful and beautiful. We began by shooting their engagement photos at one of their favorite romantic getaways, Balboa Park (view engagement photos here). And after the ceremony they decided to enjoy their reception at the classy Humphreys By The Bay. I've heard of great classic rock concerts there, but I hadn't thought of it as a wedding location. It was fantastic! Enough of my gab, I'll try to let the photos speak for themselves.
We snuck these photos with very little time, rushing our way to the reception. Couldn't Resist!
Beautiful Color selection by Lauren of course! ;~)
These early birds were running a little late in traffic so we only had about 15 min for prep photos!
This room had an amazing skylight that really helped ease getting all the prep shots in one place.
The doorway into Founders Hall was one of Lauren's favorite spots on campus.
Last minute speech writing.
Dan and Lauren had a beautiful Looong Christ centered Episcopal service.
Their Pastor was amazing. He was a missionary in the States, and eased the liturgy with his sense of humor.
"If yo heppy an ya know it, sey amen!"
Crazy mixture of lighting in there. The RAW files we shot just couldn't handle it. I love the Fuji 800z!
Lauren's Brother gave a great prayer on peace, love and understanding.
We got some pickup shots after dinner. Perfect timing for the sunset!
The Priest couldn't make it to the reception. I'm sure he would have been a blast, but he must be about the Lord's work.
Dan is from Wisconsin and there were quite a few Cheese Heads there. The DJ tried a Brett Favre joke... Epic fail...
Kids being kids...
This move wasn't the DJ's fault, a couple guys with just enough beer in them took apart a mop and commanded the dance floor.
We just couldn't seem to keep up with this crew, they even had an after party! There are ton more great candids to look through if you want to visit the online event.
Oh wow... these are amazing pictures, and very well put together. I like the pictures, and the presentation. Did I already mention that I love the colors? Simply beautiful.
