Contact sheets from the Mamiya C330 and Nikon FE2This one was taken with our Polaroid 195 Land Camera using 655 P/N film.We were going for a sort of cubism look with these. All done in camera! I think they turned out pretty good. What do you think?
On our way out Utah for Sundance Serra and I stopped off the freeway to play in the snow a little and met these delightfully charming horses. They were as friendly as any horse I ever met. Had a good time chatting but eventually we had to be on our way. They were very hospitable and I certainly intend on making a stop next time I'm driving through that section of Utah. Even if it's a little out of the way. After all, a friendly horse is hard to come by these days. More from our recent trip to Salt Lake soon! Stay tuned!
So I love Billy and Rachel! We had such a great time shooting photos of them and hanging out in beautiful Perscott, AZ. Thanks for the tasty Mexican food guys! ;) But seriously I think that these are my favorite engagement photos we have ever done! It helps to have really cool and attractive people to work with. And Serra was there to help also. Thanks Serra! So I think that the fun factor must have rubbed off on the the quality of the photos. Here are are some of my favorites...
I can't wait for the wedding! Oh, and check out Billy and Rachel's Blog HERE! God Bless!
These were taken at like 1AM after Lee Koch's CD release show last month at this dimly lit bar in downtown Ventura. There was this rockin cover band and I had a few frames of 3200 left in my twin lens so I decided to give it a try. I think these were hand held at about 1/4 of a second. So sharp with so much detail in such low light! I love my twin lens!
Just finished up the photos of Lee Koch that we shot up in Ventura. It was a bit of an improvised photo shoot, because we didn't have a chance to scout the locations and we trusted him to show us some good spots he wanted to shoot at in an afternoon. I think he is pretty stoked on them, so it worked out. It was fun figuring everything out on the spot, though I prefer to have a more concept driven shoot. All in all it was a good time. Live photos of his CD release show in Ventura coming soon. For now, enjoy...
